Immigration and Settlement Information

AICS organized an information session on immigration and settlement for our Bangladeshi community members on September 8, 2024. The venue was Bangladesh Center, 4271 – 95 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The information was provided by two Citizen and Immigration Canada’s registered Immigration Consultants, Mr. Khaled Ashrafi and Mr. Mehrul Rajib.

Mr Khaled Ashrafi is the Chief Consultant and founder of Ashar Immigration. He is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant working independently. Before becoming the Chief Consultant, Khaled helps individuals from Bangladesh being skilled workers to Canada. His vision was to bring more Bangladeshis to enrich our community and aid them to settle here. Before joining Ashar Immigration, Khaled worked in the financial industry for ten years as a Financial Advisor, Investment Consultant, Home Financing Advisor, and Mortgage Specialist. Besides his work, Khaled sands out as an entrepreneur, which he continued to part of his career to create employment for others. Khaled earned and MBA in marketing, which helped him understand international business relations. He is an active social worker as well.

Mr. Mehrul Rajib is the Director of Swodeshi Immigration Services. He is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and a member of te College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants and Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants. He has offices both in Canada and in Bangladesh. In Canada, his office is Unit 110, 9190 – 34A Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Both Mr. Ashrafi and Mr. Rajib provided a detailed explanation of he immigration procedure and answered questions from audiences for over one and a half hours. The session was well attended and many of our community members substantially benefitted from their presentation. AICS thanks and appreciates the help they provided.
